What was the Philadelphia Zoo’s role in promoting the legislation?

Kim Lengel, Zoo VP Conservation and Education joined representatives from Elephants D.C. and the Humane Society International in testifying at the House Judiciary Committee hearing Feb. 24, 2017.

What can festival audiences do if they want to take action?

Audiences can contact their state representatives and encourage the Committee to move this bill out of Committee.

Submit a letter or email to your local state representative asking for their support on HB248 and to encourage the House Judiciary Committee to move this bill out of the Committee.
